@Midnight WisteriaCan't speak for everyone, but despite sad things happening in the world (and also to people I know), I'm relatively well and relatively happy. Also, I found a series called Violet Evergarden. Reminds me somewhat of Kino's Journey.

I agree. I think the feminism I tend to complain about is, unfortunately, the one that gets the spotlight in social media. It propagates stereotypes and, in my opinion, preaches matriarchy and not equality. That's not fixing a problem, that's creating a new one. I haven't been keeping up with the Vic case much but I do hope its handled in court correctly. It is at least a step up from social media's "he said, she said."

@DabstractWell, there's feminism as a boneheaded ideology (much of what we see today), and then there's feminism as a legitimate critique of historically male abuses. I think Wendy McElroy exemplifies the latter. She calls her point of view "individualist feminism." (While I'm at it, here's roughly my take on gender issues: Men, respect the anger of women. Women, respect the anger of men. If we have to fight -- and in many ways, we probably should -- let us fight constructively without resorting to cruelty, vindictiveness or ideological scapegoating.)A'ight, last thing I need to say about this Vic thing for now: It's hard for me to imagine that Vic Mignogna did the kind of things of which he's being accused, and based on what I've seen from social media, it's only getting harder. That doesn't mean he didn't, but... if I were to judge based on what I currently know, I have reason to believe he didn't. I could still be wrong.EDIT: And it looks like it's going to court. That's probably where it needs to go.

@SplintI feel like that was so well put. Honestly for a group that claims they want to "empower" women it is baffling to me how often some feminists paint only women as the victim and only men as aggressors. Great job at "smashing the patriarchy." -_-
